It’s just a little spot on the Nepean near Parkdale but it’s packing a punch in delicious Turkish fare, think delicious dips, grilled breads and plates of wonderful meat!! It’s a no frills kind of place, BYO – simple and friendly. The menu is all the usual suspects and it’s pretty cheap and easy. Our bill was $150 between 6 and my birthday dinner has never been cheaper!!!
Dips span all the good stuff but we went for Humus with chickpeas, tahini, lemon and olive oil and then the beetroot dip with piles of that amazing grilled Turkish bread – carb overload and it was amazing!!!
There are plenty of hot entrees to dig into – koftes, boregi, dolma and more but we went straight to the serious stuff. The boys were beside themselves with their plate of doner kebab meat, ribbons of glistening, aromatic, lovely meat with some salad and rice but they were just grinning and eating doner meat!!
I went for the Shish Kebab with succulent lamb marinated Turkish style and again with plenty of rice and salad and we still had a little bread left!
There was a bit of Chicken kebab going on too but we all agreed you can’t beat a plate of doner meat – especially when sober!!
It was a super easy family get together, friends have since come clean that that is their go to take away and delivery – finally we are in the secret! Definitely worth a go if you are down that way.
